Sania Mirza gets Arjuna Award

18-year old Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been honoured by the Indian government by being conferred the prestigious Arjuna award for sports persons.
The Arjuna award recognises outstanding achievenement in the field of sports at the international level. It carries a cash award of Indian Rupees 300,000.
The awards will be presented by the Indian president Abdul Kalam on 29 August, 2005 in his official residence Rashtrapathi Bhawan, New Delhi, India.
